While rumors and speculation about an “Ayer Cut” of the film–which was trashed by critics (and some fans) even as it climbed to an astonishing $747 million box office gross worldwide–have been around almost since the film came out, a nascent campaign to release Ayer’s original version of the film started in earnest last year following the news that Zack Snyder’s Justice League would be coming to HBO Max. Ayer himself said last year that his cut of the movie “definitely exists” and asked fans to push for its release through the HBO Max streaming platform, but Sarnoff’s brief, decisive comment seems to have put an end to any possibility of that happening (not that some fans won’t continue to try)....

So, will Simmons’s Gordon get to field more than rooftop meetings this time around? Simmons, an Oscar-winning actor, is already a staple in the comic book movie genre, thanks to his irreplaceable role as boisterously cantankerous paper editor J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man Trilogy and a recently relaunched iteration of the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including in in this December’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. Yet, he can also effectively play a frightening badass, as anyone who watched his run on 1997-2003 HBO prison drama Oz can attest....

“Warzone is set to make Call of Duty history with a brand-new main map launching later this year,” reads a blog post on the Call of Duty website. “With development led by Raven Software, Warzone will also feature a new PC anti-cheat system across the entire experience when it launches with the new map.” There isn’t much information available about the new anti-cheat system at this time, but the CoD team says that “more information on the new anti-cheat system” should be available in the “coming weeks prior to Vanguard’s launch....

There has been a huge surge in popularity and profile for Xbox Game Pass since its launch, mainly due to the diverse list of games and first-party exclusives on the service. Young Justice Season 4 Episode 10 Young Justice continues its ignominious probable sendoff with another episode that tells a far more interesting story than it shows. The pacing of each episode is so odd that I’m certain this is it for the series; the storytelling choices they’re making have me convinced it’s probably for the best. The sequences the show selected to animate this week include a fairly rote but capably directed magical fight sequence between Klarion the Witch Boy, the Child, Flaw, and eventually Etrigan, making his debut on the show at the behest of The Phantom Stranger and Zatanna’s magical crew....

After nearly four years of rumors, innuendos, hints, allegations, online harassment, and everything else that’s good and bad about fandom, Zack Snyder’s Justice League has been willed into existence by the filmmaker and his legions of fans. Four hours long–one for each year you’ve had to endure the clamor of Snyder acolytes demanding the filmmaker’s vision be restored–Zack Snyder’s Justice League is the ultimate version of the movie that Snyder never completed in 2017....

The problem is that visual mediums like movies and TV shows usually have to reveal the horrifying thing they’re trying to plant into your mind. Usually they do quite a good job despite the difficulty of the medium, bless them. There are other mediums, however, that allow you to create the image or concept that terrifies you most in your own head. Books have been killing the spooky story game for awhile....

Granted, most of those games you probably never heard of are as obscure as they are because they…well…suck. However, a few of those games deserve more of a reputation than they currently enjoy. Some of those games are simply better than they get credit for, while others are so fundamentally weird that they deserve to be in the conversation simply as oddities. As you read this article, though, just keep in mind that I’m not including fan-made browser games or any similar titles....

At a time when console gaming was basically the digital wild west, it was incredibly difficult to tell good games from bad ones, and developers often exploited that fact to get us to buy titles that refuse to leave the deepest, darkest parts of our nostalgia all these years later. American Horror Story Season 10 Episode 8: Inside As a reviewer, I find it a lot easier to talk about something I like than something I don’t. For whatever reason, I’m generally more positive about American Horror Story than most of its critics, and often a lot of its fans. The stuff that doesn’t work for me doesn’t deter me from enjoying the stuff that does. As such, some things get a pass, but episodes like “Inside” make it difficult to overlook the flaws, particularly when some flats jump out the moment a character walks on screen....
