1.11 Black Friday Scream Queens was never going to let the first death of a major character get in the road of something like shopping, particularly when it’s Black Friday. The toxic consumerist nightmare is perfect fodder for a show like Scream Queens, which, as last week’s Thanksgiving special proved, is softening. Black Friday, despite being the title, took up only a small portion of the show’s penultimate instalment, providing the weekly slice of action and guaranteed death....

She-Hulk Episode 6 Although last week’s episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law ended on a lingering shot of Daredevil’s new (yellow!) helmet, Matt Murdock is nowhere to be found in this week’s installment. Which, granted, the series never explicitly promised to us–and we all know what happens when we assume—but it’s hard not to be a bit disappointed anyway. Particularly when what we get instead is not only one of the show’s silliest half-hours to date but one that has almost zero forward momentum when it comes to the larger stories this season is telling....

After The Book of Boba Fett carved out a new path for the famous bounty hunter to mixed results, some Star Wars fans were rightfully worried about what direction the next big Disney+ offering would take. Obi-Wan Kenobi would not only bring back Ewan McGregor to the role he first played in 1999-2005 but it would explore stories about the Jedi Master that at a first glance seemed unnecessary. Before the new live-action series, fans largely assumed that Obi-Wan had spent the decades that followed Revenge of the Sith as a hermit on Tatooine, watching over Luke from afar until the time was right in A New Hope....

The first short film in Star Wars: Visions, “The Duel,” sets the anime collection’s unique, creative tone. Its main character, a wandering swordsman named Ronin, also challenges the idea of what it means to be a Sith. But just who is Ronin and what is the significance of his name? Visions sits just to the side of Disney’s Star Wars canon. Given free range to create stories inspired by the beloved saga, the seven studios invited to make the nine anime shorts in the collection were able to reinterpret the story of Star Wars in their own ways....

I won’t be going into heavy spoilers in this review, as you should really go into each of these stories fresh. Plus, since most of the shorts are less than 20 minutes long, revealing even the smallest twists can give whole episodes away. But what I will say is that each short does an excellent job of capturing the classic feel of Star Wars while also offering something new, whether it’s visually, thematically, or even just a new perspective on a familiar situation....

If you jump to around the 9:10 mark in that Starfield gameplay reveal footage, you’ll see Todd Howard break down the game’s various character “traits.” They’re basically ability-altering characteristics that grant your character bonuses (and possible penalties) depending on which ones you pick. For instance, “Neon Street Rat” grants you financial bonuses and additional dialog options when you’re playing in the game’s Neon areas while “Introvert” grants you endurance bonuses when you’re adventuring alone....
