“Well, it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer for the premiere of Obi-Wan Kenobi now—and by a bit, that means just two more days. News broke from star Ewan McGregor himself that the highly-anticipated Disney+ Star Wars series would be pushing its release date to Friday, May 27th, 2022. Whether that means the series as a whole will come out on Fridays is still up in the air, but it does put Obi-Wan Kenobi on the same day as the release of part one of Netflix’s Stranger Things 4....

Manifest Season 1 Episode 16 So the question as posed by last week’s review is this: did Manifest create enough resolution to satisfy viewers going into the hiatus? But oddly, the satisfaction comes not from loose ends being tied up but rather from the single mystery surrounding the initial time jump suddenly getting an eye-opening twist as well as from a couple of interesting cliffhangers. In essence, the show avoided a rough landing by not entirely touching down on the runway, which might have been its only workable strategy....

[Laughs] Thank you for telling me!” was Margot Robbie’s earnestly surprised reaction when an EW interview led to her learning that her signature character Harley Quinn was, unbeknownst to her, killed off—or, in the very least, revealed to be presumed dead—in a post-apocalyptic epilogue scene from the recently HBO-Max-premiered Zack Snyder’s Justice League. However, those who have been following the divergence in the continuity caused by the so-called Snyder Cut know that Snyder’s lengthy vision is not considered canon in the DCEU, which still acknowledges the 2017 version of Justice League directed by Joss Whedon....

The final episode of WandaVision is here, and it’s 45 minutes of big screen Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster chaos magic action…but on the small screen. And while pound for pound it’s a little lighter on Marvel Comics and MCU Easter eggs than what we’ve seen in previous weeks (let alone sitcom references, now that we’ve left that world long behind), there’s still PLENTY to dig in to and fun things you might have missed....

What If…? is the latest Marvel Studios small screen project to arrive on Disney+ after much fanfare. The animated anthology show, created by Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia writer A.C. Bradley and Marvel storyboard vet Bryan Andrews, aims to explore alternate timelines in the MCU multiverse. In order to fully grasp the basic premise of What If…? as a whole it helps to have watched Marvel’s Loki, which recently introduced the multiverse to the MCU....

It almost didn’t happen. Netflix picked up Money Heist entirely by chance. If they hadn’t, the original series might have easily vanished into obscurity for English-speaking audiences. Once Netflix got it, it blew up and became their most watched non-English series. Money Heist was originally broadcast on Spain’s Antena 3 channel in 2017 under its native title La Casa de Papel (The House of Paper). The first season was 15 episodes, told in two parts....

Moon Knight Episode 2 “Is Marc Spector just imagining all this?” has been a question that Marvel Comics has waltzed with before, and episode two of Moon Knight, “Summon the Suit”, also decides it’s fair game via his alternate identity. As such, we join Steven Grant after his encounter with the jackal while he attempts to figure out how much of the horrifying experience was caught on camera. The answer is none, bar Steven pelting it about the museum with the wind up his arse, but at the end of the footage we see Marc give the camera a surly look, and Steven is understandably upset....

According to co-creator and lead actor Rob McElhenney, the Mythic Quest team didn’t go into the show’s second season on Apple TV+ with a plan to recapture the energy of season 1’s infamous flashback episode, “A Dark Quiet Death. But they ended up doing so all the same. “We’re always trying to just stretch and do something different,” McElhenney tells Den of Geek. “It’s never a function of like, ‘Oh, that flashback episode worked, so let’s do another flashback episode....

Others of us after a year of varying levels of lockdown aren’t doing quite so well. Apathy has set in. Cooking, eating and washing up feels like never ending Sisyphean torture. My Life as a Rolling Stone was co-directed by Oliver Murray, who helmed the 2019 documentary on Wyman, The Quiet One, and Clare Tavernor, who directed a TV special accompanying Richards’ autobiography Life....

The new Dracula movie will be helmed by Karyn Kusama (Jennifer’s Body, Destroyer, and modern horror classic The Invitation ). Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay, who teamed with Kusama on those latter two films, will write the screenplay. Kusama also recently directed an episode of HBO’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Outsider. Universal has learned some lessons since unwrapping The Mummy, starring Tom Cruise, in 2017. That film was one of many recent attempts to create a cohesive modern Universal Monsters cinematic universe and was a very expensive critical and commercial failure....
