The last we saw of them in the Clone Wars, the Bad Batch added Echo, a clone modified with cybernetic parts by the Separatists, to their ranks and went off to continue fighting on behalf of the Republic. But The Clone Wars finale didn’t show what happened to the Bad Batch after Order 66. This seems to be where the new The Bad Batch animated series picks up. Check out the trailer below: Here are some things we spotted in the trailer that might tells us where The Bad Batch is headed: Next, we have shots of a couple more planets, possibly Prequel staples Geonosis and Coruscant, or new planets entirely....

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Episode 8 “Redemption” is both the finale of The Mandalorian and the best episode of the season. Taika Waititi’s self-assured, clear-eyed direction benefits from what came before, certainly: he’s wrapping up the story of Mando and Baby Yoda’s pursuit by the formidable Moff Gideon. Waititi brings his hallmark humor as well as an excellent sense of space. Even the bar and the Mandalorian enclave we’ve seen before gain new dimensions and depth....

The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 6 We’re in uncharted waters now. The trailers for The Mandalorian gave no hint as to what would happen in “The Tragedy,” which turned out to be a bounty hunter extravaganza in an episode strong on action. But for all of the excitement and surprises, the script is unable to fill some of the holes the second half of the season has opened up. Previously, Mando was willing to give Grogu to Ahsoka Tano to train....

Stargirl continues to deliver some of the deepest cuts in DC Universe TV history to fans each week. Not only that, it does it with not a hint of irony about it, even when it’s presenting characters who, to modern eyes, might appear a little bit hokey if presented in their original form. The latest example of that comes with their revelation of the Seven Soldiers of Victory, a relatively obscure group of Golden Age superheroes who fought alongside the Justice Society of America back in the day....

The revelation came via Variety, which reported about Spielberg attending the PGA Awards Breakfast on Saturday. There, the director and producer had nothing but lovely things to say about his experience of adapting West Side Story to the screen. His efforts have resulted in the musical receiving some of the best reviews in Spielberg’s 21st century career, as well as netting him his eighth nomination for Best Director at the Academy Awards....

Superman & Lois Episode 13 Superman & Lois has done so many things right in its first season, deftly paying homage to the classic origins of the Man of Steel even as it explores an entirely new corner of the Superman mythos, introducing intriguing comics heroes like John Henry Irons, and reinventing the story of the final days of Krypton in ways that give Clark Kent a new connection to the home he left behind....

Swamp Thing is the show I was hoping it would be, and the fourth episode delivers on a lot of beauty coupled with a damn fine cringeworthy gore moment, and visuals straight out of the comics. And by the glory of the Green, I think we might be on the way to some Arcane family history. Borrowing the title “Darkness at the Edge of Town” from one of Springsteen’s most beloved songs (and a title many other shows, including Arrow, have used), the episode is about the fears of the people of Marais, and the secrets being dredged up due to the meddlings in the swamp....

That means it’s time for the next line-up, which is confirmed to feature (in alphabetical first name order): Ardal O’Hanlon, Bridget Christie, Chris Ramsey, Judi Love and Sophie Duker! Series 13 starts on Thursday the 14th of April at 9pm on Channel 4. There’s also the matter of the Series 6-10 Champion of Champions special to come, which will be a one-episode extravaganza featuring past winners Ed Gamble, Lou Sanders, Kerry Godliman, Liza Tarbuck and Richard Herring....

Pulling off Jason Sudeikis’s look as the affable Ted Lasso is a considerably easy lift that won’t break the bank. Pulling the costume together could likely be accomplished with things you already own. Iron and button up your finest collared shirt, toss a navy sweater over top, put your khaki pants on one leg at a time, purchase a fake mustache (or grow your own, gentlemen) and voilà, you’re everybody’s favorite coach....

Mackenzie Davis, who starred in Dark Fate (Terminator 6, if you will,) as cybernetically-enhanced human Grace, divulged a rather intriguing tidbit on the Happy Sad Confused podcast about the inevitably fruitless plans for a follow-up film. The character, hailing from a timeline altered by Terminator 2’s destruction of Skynet, was sent from the future to protect the fated Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) from a new humanity-exterminating A.I. called Legion, but was (SPOILER ALERT) killed at the end of the film....

The 100 Season 6 Episode 1 The 100’s season 6 premier has a huge job: set the rules of engagement for the not-quite-a-time-jump that is cryosleep, introduce us to a whole new world, and the usual business of kicking off tying up the very loose ends of last season while kicking off a new season’s worth of storytelling. It’s not surprising, then, that these first two episodes function a bit more like a two-part premiere and they feel more satisfying after the conclusion of the second than they do at the end of the first, which is more of a taste than an opening story....

Star Trek: Picard Season 2 Episode 4 The topsy-turvy time travel antics of Star Trek: Picard season 2, episode 4, continue with “Watcher,” an episode in which we do, in fact, meet the mysterious Watcher, as well as someone else who we didn’t expect to see in this century at all. Along the way, Picard manages to dive deep for those Trekkie Easter eggs, some of which fix some very old mysterious, lurking in the strange Star Trek timeline for years and years....

The Capture‘s first series saw Lance Corporal Shaun Emery (Callum Turner) go full circle. In episode one, he was released from prison – acquitted for a crime he had, in fact, committed – and then in episode six, he was imprisoned for a crime of which he was innocent. In between, the BBC surveillance thriller introduced viewers to a world in which you literally can’t believe your eyes. As DCI Rachel Carey (Strike‘s Holliday Grainger) discovered, the intelligence services were using ultra-sophisticated deepfake technology to conjure up court-admissible ‘evidence’ to ensure the criminal conviction of anybody they wanted convicted....

The Conversations With Friends limited series, an adaptation of Irish author Sally Rooney’s debut novel, is a story about the many ways four people come together and fall apart over the course of a summer. The creators of the BBC/Hulu adaptation stripped so much of what was most interesting from the book—questions of whether Nick was predatory in his relationship with Frances, issues of class and money, Frances’ struggle with self-harm and self-image, even Bobbi and Melissa’s dynamic....

As a splashy Hollywood version of Dan Brown’s most popular potboiler, The Da Vinci Code premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May and was the subject of countless faux-examinations about early Christianity on the cable news circuit—as well as the object of ire for some modern Christians’ growing need for perpetual outrage. Protests occurred at theaters throughout the U.S., while other international markets banned it outright. And all of that cacophonous noise was over… a pretty middle-of-the-road adventure movie....

Inside the pages of Charles Forsman’s The End Of The Fing World comics, outsiders James and Alyssa will be forever where they were left – James shot by the police and Alyssa carving his name into her arm with a pin. Frozen between the gutters of Forsman’s drawings, they’ll never grow older than 17, never get jobs or go to university or get married. They won’t have to learn about responsibility or face the consequences of their bloody road-trip....

Well, it’s finally here. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 6 was an action-packed, but rather messy season finale for the show. Hopefully it isn’t a series finale, and we’ll see it continue in season 2 as Captain America and the Winter Soldier, but that’s an argument for another time. For now, we’re here (as usual) to dig in to all the Marvel Comics and MCU references the show gave us this episode....

As directors Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz’s follow-up to Goodnight Mommy, The Lodge is another unsettling sleight of hand about the constricting nature of familial bonds, especially when there is no actual familiarity between you and the person at the other end of a rope. A tense exercise of claustrophobia in a snowy outpost, the film stands on the shoulders of horror royalty while plowing its own path to memorable disturbance, in no small part thanks to a tour de force performance by Riley Keough....
