As played by the irrepressibly charming Benedict Cumberbatch, Strange has accomplished quite a lot during his brief time in the MCU. He headlined his own film, somehow standing out amid Inception-style reality warping CGI and Mads Mikkelsen’s equally reality warping eyeliner. Then he played a major role in both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, ultimately predicting the one scenario among 14 million that would lead to Thanos’s defeat. It’s hard to imagine the future of Marvel storytelling on screen without Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange....

47 Meters Down UK Only Amidst the many modern shark movies, 47 Meters Down happens to be one of the best. This is partly because the premise is extremely simple and extremely effective. Two sisters (Claire Holt and Mandy Moore) are stuck in a shark cage at the bottom of the ocean. They have less than an hour of oxygen. There are a bunch of sharks. For the most part, it’s just that – the two trying to underwater problem-solve their way out of getting eaten, getting the bends or drowning....

Better Call Saul is known for being the quieter, less violent successor to Breaking Bad, but there are still plenty of morbid character deaths that have occurred across the six seasons of the show. Because these deaths happen less often, they also hit harder than in other dramas. Now that the show has wrapped its run, we thought it would be a great time to recap which departed characters got the most and least deserving fates....

It feels as if the more expensive a film is, the fewer risks the studio will allow. There are perks to having a bigger budget, but often, a low budget either allows or forces filmmakers to be more creative. As tentpoles and franchise properties fill up the movie calendar, producer Jason Blum’s company Blumhouse Productions has reintroduced a little risk into Hollywood with its tried-and-tested production model. In the season 2 Blu-ray of Lower Decks, during the audio commentary of episode 5, “An Embarrassment of Dopplers,” Jack Quaid and Mike McMahan point out that they have heard the complaints from fans that there is supposedly not enough DS9 love on Lower Decks. Now, as Quaid and McMahan pointed out about Lower Decks season 1 and season 2, there are countless references to DS9 (including a Bajoran as a main character), but just in case that wasn’t enough, season 3 of Lower Decks won’t just have more DS9 references, there will, in fact, be an entire Deep Space Nine episode....

Basic Instinct Paul Verhoeven and Joe Eszterhas’ 1992 tale of a cop on the edge who gets involved with a sex-positive pulp author initially received mixed reviews from critics who thought the controversial movie’s writing and character development were bad, but since bad writing and character development are par for the course in a solid erotic thriller (it’s all just vibes!...

Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 2 premieres its first two episodes on Wednesday, Jan. 4. New episodes of this show about an elite squad of clone troopers will follow each Wednesday. If nothing else, this Dave Filoni-project should ease the wait before The Mandalorian season 3. Other Disney+ originals of note this month include Chasing Waves on Jan. 11 and Mila in the Multiverse on Jan. 25. The only new Disney+ movie in January will be King Shakir Recycle on Jan....

Regarding this Disney romp, Johnson‘s big-screen backlog is a proverbial battle royal of major movies, but few are as intriguing given the pedigree of who he’s partnered with (i.e. not Vin Diesel or Jason Statham) as Jungle Cruise. Based on a Disneyland and Disney World riverboat theme park ride, this branded project is clearly designed to recreate the same lucrative ride-to-movie magic of the Pirates of the Caribbean films, but with Blunt co-starring in the film, it also looks intentionally evocative of classic Hollywood star two-handers, most notably being Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn in The African Queen (1951)....

It is a story that will be many things – it will reintroduce Ace and Tegan (and potentially play merry Hell with canon as it does so), it will conclude the tenures of both the Thirteenth Doctor and Chris Chibnall, wrap up the Thasmin romance arc (our money’s on ‘It ends tragically’) and conclude whatever Dan’s arc is. Some are still holding onto an outlying chance that it might end the universe....

“It’s big,” agrees Chris Chibnall. On a September visit to the Cardiff set of Doctor Who, the showrunner tells assembled press that the series 12 opener is “the biggest episode [they’ve] done. It might be the biggest episode the show’s done.” Fighting talk. The casting is certainly big. Sir Lenny Henry and Stephen Fry – two of the most recognisable faces on UK television – are guest starring. Though whether those recognisable faces will be obscured by costumes or prosthetics, and whether they’re playing friend or foe, is yet to be confirmed....

While Dying Light 2‘s safes are almost always in relatively close proximity of their codes (or clues that will lead you to them) it usually takes quite a bit of time to both find the safes themselves and the clues that lead you to their codes.
