Doom Patrol Season 2 Episode 1 The first season of Doom Patrol was the kind of outing that shouldn’t have worked. The band of misfit heroes (who could swear) felt like a premise that would wear thin – as did the novelty of Alan Tudyk as a narrating super villain, and a talking cockroach with apocalypse on his mind. Yet, the show successfully managed a balance of oddball concepts, violence, humor and strong development of characters struggling with serious trauma....

The DuckTales finale had a lot to wrap up. One of the biggest mysteries introduced in season 3 had to do with Webby. Beakley was keeping secrets about her but we weren’t sure what. The finale gave us answers but not in the way we expected. Early on we’re introduced to what we’re told are Webby’s sisters, clones of her. As Webby begins to investigate she learns more and more, confident she’ll get some clue to her past....

What is Powerstancing? Well, brace yourself, because we’re about to get real nerdy for a second. Powerstancing is basically the ability to dual-wield a variety of weapons (or just two of the same weapon) and use them in conjunction with each other in order to enable a unique set of moves. When you enable Powerstancing, you’re essentially making it so that attacks with your left-handed weapon will cause you to perform attacks with both weapons instead....

In one of the Jane Austen adaptation’s funniest scenes, Taylor-Joy offers an airy performance of an English folk tune while hunched melodically above her pianoforte. It’s actually an intentionally precious moment that sets up an even better one when her romantic rival, Jane Fairfax (Amber Anderson), offers a virtuosic rendition of “Mozart Sonata in F.” It’s one of the highlights of the film and of the Emma. soundtrack. “That was part of the fun of the scene,” Taylor-Joy said when we spoke to her about the film this week....

There’s a reason nobody wants to be assigned to bed 10 in Cowley General Hospital’s Fosdick Ward. Three patients have died in it in the past five weeks, and even the medical team don’t quite seem reassured by the official explanation that the high mortality rate is down to the particularly severe ill health of those who have passed away. None of this would seem likely to attract the attention of Oxford’s police, were it not for the fact that Terence Bakewell (Alex McSweeney) has been taken there for surgery....

The loss of the scheming Violetta Talenti, and the bad blood between Morse and Thursday have taken their toll on Endeavour in series eight, which will see him “crestfallen and rarely without a scotch in-hand” and once again struggling with his inner demons. Not that it looks like there’ll be much time for Morse to dwell on his guilt, tasked as he’ll be with acting as personal bodyguard to Jack Swift (Julian Moore-Cook), a professional footballer who’s received a death threat from the IRA....

In the spring of 1997, movie journalism was dominated by discussions of doomed ships. James Cameron’s Titanic, originally scheduled for the lucrative 4th of July slot that summer, had suffered yet another delay. It added fuel to the growing speculation that Cameron was at the helm of a potential disaster akin to Heaven’s Gate. The cost of making the movie had swollen to such huge levels – $200 million according to some accounts, and possibly higher according to others – that the financial burden was shouldered by two of Hollywood’s biggest studios, Fox and Paramount....

Fear the Walking Dead season 6 has been one of the darkest seasons of the show so far. Our heroes have been separated, some left for dead while others were forced to join Virginia and her cruel group of Pioneers who want all the survivors they meet to fall in line or die. When Morgan stood up to Virginia in season 5, it ended very badly for him. Not only was his group broken but so was his spirit....

Gangs Of London, co-created by Gareth Evans and Matt Flannery is a sprawling multicultural and international show spread over nine episodes, which studies the fallout after powerful gangster patriarch Finn Wallace (Colm Meaney) is assassinated. The pilot episode is feature-length and directed by Evans himself, setting up the large ensemble cast and different underworld factions across a reimagined capital city, and the potential repercussions of Finn’s murder now his vicious and volatile son Sean (Joe Cole) has taken charge of the business....

That’s a simply incredible trailer that warrants multiple rewatches by virtue of its visual splendor alone, but before we dive into what absolutely everything in that trailer could mean for the upcoming game, we have to talk about something that was said outside of the trailer during a post-show interview with the Ragnarok team. There, the God of War team confirmed that Ragnarok will live up to its name by actually depicting Ragnarok itself....

1.2 The Book Having delighted fans with fidelity to the novel and the crackling partnership between leads Crowley and Aziraphale in episode one, now comes the real work. Good Omens has a story to tell, and it’s sprawlingly ambitious. The beginning of man to the end of the world is a fair whack of time. Celestial immortals, 17th century witches and a gang of 11-year-old kids is quite the character range....

Before we get into all of that, though, I cannot emphasize enough that these are only rumors. There is no guarantee that any of this information is true. In fact, there’s a chance that this information is true at the moment but could be changed by the time that GTA 6 is finished and released (more on that in a bit). Actually, we probably wouldn’t even be sharing these rumors with you if they didn’t come from a consistently reliable source (GTA reporter and video game news leaker, Tom Henderson) and weren’t being supported by notable industry reporters such as Jason Schreier and the staff at VGC....

Halo Episode 9 Having steered its Master Chief pretty far outside of the bounds of the character game fans know and love, the Halo TV series finally feels like a video game again. That doesn’t mean this episode is good. The video game adaptation curse remains in place, and it’s hard to dig beneath the surface here. A floaty finale action scene both jumped the shark (again) and underwhelmed, opening a door to a second season that…may or may not include the actual Halo ring?...

With all that in mind, it doesn’t seem quite so outlandish that Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy could reprise their roles as Dr. Hannibal Lecter and FBI profiler Will Graham for a fourth season. Even though the season three finale that aired in August 2015 seemed to end on a fairly definitive note, with Hannibal and Will plummeting to their death in a bloody embrace, fans and cast members hoped that the show could come back....

The latest Blumhouse horror ride is Happy Death Day, in which director Christopher Landon (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones) throws star Jessica Rothe (La La Land) into a time loop where she’s forced to wake up on her birthday and experience her death at the hands of a masked killer over and over again.
