This raises a lot of questions about the film, especially considering the recent flux in ThunderCats media. The original ThunderCats was about as perfect an example of ‘80s action adventure cartoon series can be and the early 2010s reboot series took a mostly serious approach to the franchise with a more deeply layered story. Then in 2020 ThunderCats Roar was a huge departure, featuring a much more comedic tone and style than the previous series....

Titans, the first original series created for the newly launched DC Universe streaming service, launched its first trailer to considerable fanfare (and controversy) back in July. Notably dark and violent, and with Robin famously voicing a particularly strong opinion of Batman, that few minutes of Titans footage divided fans, with some citing its daring willingness to take characters who have had their greatest success headlining two animated series and bringing them back to their more mature comic book roots, while others felt its violence and strong language were perhaps a step too far in the direction of an infamous DC movie that shall not be named....

Fair warning: there’s a lot more gore than gardening in Netflix’s newest anime, Vampire in the Garden. It’s a fantastic story about Momo and Fine, a human/vampire duo escaping the brutal war between their species. Set in the remnants of an unnamed but unmistakably post-Soviet country, their journey is as much about the horrors of war as it is about the beauty of music. And with the creative minds of Studio Wit (Attack on Titan, Bubble) at the helm, the animation is appropriately top-notch and the story delivers a heartfelt anti-war message in its brief five-episode season....

Nobody could accuse BBC thriller Vigil of lacking plot. That series was a Matryoshka doll, in which each mystery broke in half to reveal another, then another, and another. What began with a sunk trawler, a heroin overdose and a whistle blower ended with a Russian plot, a multi-layered Naval conspiracy, a drowned activist, three dead crew members, and a saboteur in a cage, shitting in a bucket. Along the way there were family revelations, broken hearts, an extra-marital affair, and the deadliest tin of sliced grapefruit ever to feature on television....

Voltron Season 8 Voltron season 8 weaves an incredible end to the tapestry of the universe it’s been building up over its entire run. It’s an incredible work of art by the end. Beautiful, enrapturing, and delightfully expansive. The season very much sticks the landing and plays up all the series’ strongest points. It also highlights a few weaknesses but honestly with something so solid you almost don’t notice them. The biggest strength of the season is how nearly everyone comes back to play some part in the final season....

This last stretch picks up where the project left off in November, which is when it shut down for an extended, nearly two-month break. Said to be in attendance and working on this last round of shooting is star Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri, the sister of T’Challa and Wakanda’s brilliant technological innovator. This all sounds reasonably normal for a big-budget production, except perhaps for that longer-than-usual holiday break. But the story behind it may or may not be so straightforward at all....

As we’ve now come to expect from WandaVision, the most unsettling moment of the spinoff’s latest episode arrived during its final minutes, when Wanda’s mysterious Westview pal ‘Geraldine’ showed her hand a bit after Wanda mentioned that she was a twin, just like her new bouncing baby boys. Geraldine (Teyonah Parris), who the residents of Westview are suspicious of because she’s new to town and doesn’t have a home, is actually a grown up Monica Rambeau in the Disney+ series....

“We won’t be developing David Ayer’s cut,” Sarnoff said flatly and directly when Variety broached the subject in a new interview. The news, which is likely to frustrate at least a few fans still wistful for the DCEU as it briefly existed between 2016 and 2017, is the most succinct comment from Sarnoff who seems intent on pivoting the conversation in the industry (and among DC fans) away from the Zack Snyder and Ayer era that resulted in several critical disappointments between Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, and a major critical and box office failure in the studio-approved version of Justice League, which was heavily reshot by Joss Whedon in 2017....

On Wednesday, Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) sets out to distinguish herself from The Addams Family, and extinguish anything standing in the way. Tim Burton’s take on Charles Addams’ perennially ooky characters is unique. They don’t refract the broken mirrors of regular people. Wednesday neuters that possibility in the opening sequence, and is tossed off into a very alternative school, filled with cryptic coeds. The outcast among outcasts spends the semester trying to solve the mystery of the Hyde....

The Guardian has raised these claims in a new interview with the 58-year-old actor, who denies them. “Let me tell you one thing,” said Snipes. “If I had tried to strangle David Goyer, you probably wouldn’t be talking to me now. A black guy with muscles strangling the director of a movie is going to jail, I guarantee you.” Snipes added “Why do people believe this guy’s version of this story?...

But her Aunt Antiope (Robin Wright) prevents her, teaching Diana that “nothing good is born from lies, and greatness is not what you think.” Though the scene may, at first glance, seem a bit of an add on for a movie that is meant as a decades-later follow up to Diana’s origin story, the electrifying flashback is incredibly important for the narrative and themes of the movie....
