HOWEVER! If you want go give yourself a deeper appreciation of the movie and the cool DCEU Easter eggs and stories it alludes to, there are definitely a few other DC movies you should check out, and one I’d basically consider a must-watch....

While this was technically an episode of Batwoman (and there’s PLENTY of Bat-related drama to be had throughout), we also get multiple Supermen, a return to Smallville, music from both John Williams AND Danny Elfman, the always welcome return of John Constantine, and even a Green Lantern tease....

However, it’s entirely possible to go through the game without realizing that these romance options are available to you. In fact, Cyberpunk 2077‘s romance requirements are so specific that even if you are keeping an eye out for the right opportunities, one false step can permanently prevent you from being able to pursue even a temporary fling much less a long-term relationship....

So it’s great that he’s back as Wolverine for Deadpool 3, right? After all, Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have made it clear that their adventure, set years before Logan, won’t undo Logan’s sacrifice. And anyway, if you don’t like dead superheroes coming back to life, then X-Men—whose roster includes multiple characters whose defining feature is cheating death—may not be for you. But despite the initial excitement of seeing a fan-favorite one last time, asking Jackman to don the Canucklehead’s mutton chops once again presents serious problems for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe....

Dexter: New Blood Episode 7 When it was announced that Dexter: New Blood would be eschewing the original series’ 13-episode format for a more streamlined 10-episode order, it was a sign that perhaps the new adventures of Dexter Morgan would improve upon areas where the original show’s run faltered. Almost every season of Dexter had more episodes to fill than plot to cover and that led to a lot of wheel spinning, false starts and stops, and needless procedural elements to pad out the season....

Dexter: New Blood Episode 8 I wrote at length last week about how Dexter: New Blood has its foot on the brake rather than the gas late in the season, a problem that suggested maybe a 10-episode order was too much time to fill. That criticism is given more teeth with “Unfair Game,” which keeps Dexter busy with a secondary antagonist and spends more time driving home information that we already knew about Harrison....

Successful one-off characters aren’t necessarily those who break away from their function, (or even those who aren’t strictly required, for example Binro the Heretic in ‘The Ribos Operation’), but those who make a story soar to another level entirely. More often, what makes them work is when their function in the story is disguised. There are plenty of ways to do this and most of them intersect: casting, costume, dialogue, performance… Let’s first address the latter....
