Well, they actually did it. The CW and Warner Bros. Producer Barry Letts and Script Editor Terrance Dicks took a show with the potential for cancellation and moved it from Quatermass homage to the cosiest of nightmare fuel: a family show on and off-screen with the reassuringly haughty Jon Pertwee ruffling hearts and minds at the head of a regular ensemble cast. After five seasons the family was breaking up, and the show was revitalised by incoming Producer Philip Hinchcliffe and Script Editor Robert Holmes....

Few big screen superheroes ever get perfect endings. Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne got one in The Dark Knight Rises, albeit one fans weren’t particularly pleased with. Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark went out in heroic fashion during Avengers: Endgame, but it was bittersweet and at the cost of his life. Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine got a haunting sendoff in Logan. What kind of adaptation is it? One that’s both funny and horrifying, paying homage to what’s gone before while delivering a swaggeringly confident new take on the source material – which is more varied than one might think, as Moffat pointed out at the launch. “Dracula is an odd one because the book is not the only source text by any means. The play based on the book is what leads to the movie with Bela Lugosi and so on....

A lot has changed since Dark Alliance first stole our hearts in 2001, but given that the original games got so much mileage out of intelligently reimagining Diablo-style gameplay for consoles while brilliantly utilizing the incredible universe they were based on, many hope this new Dark Alliance would be able to revive that series’ best qualities while incorporating elements of modern game design. Well, the first Dark Alliance reviews seem to agree that the game suffers from quite a few technical and design problems, but it feels like there’s a bit of a divide forming in regards to how much they will impact your ability to enjoy the overall experience....

Fast & Furious Spy Racers is something a throwback to the past, a kids TV tie-in to a popular adult movie franchise. While the Fast & Furious films are no Rambo (which somehow got a kids cartoon) it’s still a challenge to take a well beloved franchise of films and turn them into a TV series meant for kids. That’s just what executive producer Tim Hedrick has done, taking elements of the Fast & Furious universe but making sure the show can stand on its own for kids which includes Vin Diesel’s own family....

That’s right: As played by a more grizzled than usual Mel Gibson, whose voice emanates from somewhere deep within the considerable beard he’s sporting, Chris Kringle is bitter and depressed over the state of the world. More and more kids are making bad choices, leaving him no option but to deliver them hunks of coal instead of toys. But that also creates a downturn in business for his toy making shop–a snowy, decrepit family farm where a staff of hard-working elves lends a little mythological sparkle to this otherwise drab location....

Emile ends up being nothing more than a one-off villain meant to spark new life in Morgan, who had lost the will to live after being defeated by the Pioneers last season, but his introduction does also tease quite a few things about season 6 nonetheless.
