Yet all of this conflicts with Kayce’s own feelings about his newfound line of work, and whenever he tries to do things a little differently, the system fights back....

The result is one of the strongest episodes of Young Justice season 3. The episode follows two stories and sprinkles in some setup for upcoming episodes. One sets up the final episode: Brion and Tara’s brother sneaks to Hollywood to see them and tell them that he’s trying to find a way to get them back into Markovia....

Let’s all give it up for Z Nation with a nice, meaty slow-clap, shall we? In the words of any kid who thought they were cool circa 1997: Dag, son. Remember all that meticulous set up in episode one? Where we thought we were seeing the arc of the season laid out for us? You know, bounty hunters chasing the gang along with zombies? Mack and Addy reconnecting? Murphy creating his own zombie army?...

Horror particularly lends itself to a short runtime. So many games appeared on both the Famicom and the NES, but a surprising number of titles never made that journey across the world in their day. For instance, there’s the infamous 1986 Taito release Takeshi no Chōsenjō: a vanity project from Japanese actor Beat Takeshi that was not only intentionally obtuse in its design but featured a section where you had to sing karaoke into your Famicom controller’s microphone....

Packed with increasingly strange spiralling twists, with a highly manipulative paedophile at the centre of a story that’s almost too weird to be believed, Abducted in Plain Sight is certainly full of surprises. The darkest yet? Not for our money (but then we watched a bomb go off round someone’s neck in Evil Genius, so, you know, it’s not a competition…) though this is certainly a crazy-compelling story, that for once does have a bit of redemption at the end....

For four seasons now, Marvel Studios’ inaugural series has hovered around greatness but never quite achieved that milestone. Think about it, when Agents of SHIELD began, it was a show that continued the story of the likable SHIELD agent dude that Loki killed in The Avengers, and that was pretty much it. People were expecting the ABC actioner to be an extension of the Marvel films, but it soon become apparent that Agents of SHIELD would be movie-adjacent at best....

Agents of SHIELD Season 5, Episode 21 Avengers: Infinity War spoilers coming. It’s been weeks people, get with the program. So Thanos wipes out half of humanity, right? And all that’s happening in the background of Agents of SHIELD while Graviton and his cadre of alien killers prepare to attack an Earth already being besieged by Thanos. Man, the MCU is busy. With Thanos in the midst of his attack (which we know about through background news reports, it’s all very meta), Glenn Talbot, in his new guise of Graviton, wants a power up in order to defend the world from Thanos....

Batwoman Season 3 Episode 11 Last night’s episode of Batwoman finally made Wildmoore canon. The episode, which also saw Ryan Wilder and Jada Jett come to Jesus, was directed by the show’s very own Luke Fox, Camrus Johnson. We talked to him about his directorial debut, his favorite scenes to shoot, and more. In “Broken Toys,” Marquis Jet is on the loose, and the Bat Team needs to fix the joybuzzer so they can try to save him....

The latest episode of Batwoman, “Time Off For Good Behavior,” continues this season’s trend of examining Gotham’s authoritative structures from new angles and through different lenses. Ryan Wilder is the product of a system that not only did not protect her but actively worked to ensure that she and other kids like her did not escape the cycles of poverty and violence that trap them in lives of criminality. Ryan was adopted out of foster care in her late teens, which saved her, but didn’t spare her from being preyed upon by those who sought to take advantage of the weak and vulnerable....

But The Last Duel was not received at all, warmly or otherwise, by audiences since the film opened to less than $5 million in its opening weekend last October. And that meek number came despite Affleck ostensibly starring as the most recent and popular iteration of the Dark Knight in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and this year’s belated HBO Max release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. (The Last Duel also starred Jason Bourne and Kylo Ren....

In the spirit of keeping August entertaining, Netflix is rolling out a slew of new streaming additions as well, including an underrated Spielberg gem, fantastic teen comedies both old and new, a couple of stoner classics and perhaps the finest film from the canon of one of the modern era’s most revered directors. Though the TV show isn’t doing anything new with the zombie trope, it is doing it well, with plenty of gore, social commentary, and character moments to sustain the story across 12 episodes....
