Off the back of an action-packed heist on Aldhani, Andor has delivered its finest hour with “Announcement,” which explores the repercussions of the Rebel heist across the galaxy. The Empire is tightening its grip, senators are being watched, and even rebel operatives can’t trust one another as the hammer comes down on Coruscant and elsewhere. It’s also during one of these scenes on the Imperial capital that Andor drops its biggest callback to the Original Trilogy yet....
Attack on Titan Season 2, Episode 2 In another highly emotional and suspenseful Attack on Titan episode, while the Survey Corps continue to pull at the thread of the unraveling Ugly Sweater that is the Titan-in-the-wall mystery, Sasha and Connie head home, and each finds their respective village in completely different what-the-fuck Titan-related situations. Barry Season 3 Episode 8 Who would have ever thought that the “hitman becomes an actor” show starring the guy from SNL who did the Vincent Price impressions would deliver something as visceral, complex, and thrilling as “starting now?” Barry Berkman may not be evil, but he will finally have to pay for his crimes. The cyclical nature of violence and how it trickles out and infects everyone that it touches has been a prominent theme all season, but it comes to a wicked crescendo in the Barry season 3 finale....

The idea of a TV series about Clarice Starling is neither a creatively bankrupt nor unappealing one, however it comes with a faint veneer of controversy due to a perception that its very existence potentially puts an end to revival chances for Bryan Fuller’s gone-too-soon cult classic Hannibal, which ran on NBC between 2013 and 2015....
The wrap of principal photography for Clerks III was announced by director Smith in a celebratory tweet accompanied by a photo of the cast and producers inside of Quick Stop Groceries, specifically in front of what may very well be the most famous convenience store checkout counter in film history. However, he also teased the extent of the film’s inevitable array of nostalgic callbacks. We’ve known for some time now that Cobra Kai’s third season will delve into the sequel side of its cinematic roots by having Daniel return to the Okinawa setting of 1986’s The Karate Kid Part II—this time having skipped a repeat shoot in Hawaii for actual filming in the southern Japanese island prefecture—along with the return of two key characters from that film, Daniel’s main antagonist, Chozen (Yuji Okumoto), and love interest Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita)....
Ahead of the movie’s release, WB has dropped the first trailer for this decidedly more grown-up big-screen take on the beloved video game series. Delivering all of the blood and guts you’d expect from a modern, grittier Mortal Kombat adaptation, the trailer explains the gruesome reason why Jax ended up with his bionic metal arms, teases a scene where Kano rips a monster’s heart out of its chest, and even nods at a few Fatalities from the games....
Its flagship live action show, Titans, was met with middling reviews. The next on its slate, Swamp Thing, fared better critically but was canceled and saw its episode count slashed before the first episode even aired (it will now see a second life as re-runs as part of the CW’s Covid-ravaged fall TV schedule). But DC Universe hit its stride creatively with superb animated series like Young Justice: Outsiders and the wildly inventive and hilarious Harley Quinn, a genuine critical darling in the live action Doom Patrol, and a recent back-to-basics superhero success story in Stargirl....
