The Star Wars: Bad Batch finale brings the Bad Batch home as the Empire erases what happened in Kamino’s clone headquarters. Team villain Crosshair has been abandoned by the Empire he wanted to serve, forcing him to help his former allies while obscuring his motives and never fully turning trustworthy. Meanwhile, Omega’s love for her little family and her desire to help others gets her into trouble. Episode 16, “Kamino Lost,” is an action-heavy episode with, of course, a stringer for season two....

“Common Ground” takes the Bad Batch to the former Separatist capital now under Imperial occupation. While Omega discovers a new skill, the squad rescues a senator who supported a war against them not long ago. Along the way, a few brand-new characters make their way onto the stage in this episode, particularly Senator Avi Singh and Imperial Captain Bragg. Characters don’t usually last too long on AMC’s zombie epic The Walking Dead. Frequent, major character deaths are bound to happen amid a dangerous post-apocalyptic environment rife with ravenous corpses. The culling of cast is also just a fact of life for a physically demanding acting job that requires performers to endure grueling Georgia summers for an indeterminate number of seasons. At this point in The Walking Dead’s run, the number of significant dead characters are sure to outnumber the living....

The Beatles impacted India almost as much as the country influenced them. The group was first introduced to Indian music while filming Help!, a comedy which spoofed a Kali cult as a comic book villain. The 1965 film featured Indian musicians in a restaurant scene, and the band noticed the instruments. George Harrison first used sitar on John Lennon’s “Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)” from the Rubber Soul album....

I have no problem with that. Everything surrounding Knuckles’ meme status is comedy gold. I regularly jam to remixes of Knuckles’ theme from Sonic Adventure. I’ve said, “Oh no” to my friends so often I think I’ve ruined the Sonic franchise forever to them. My somewhat joking love of Knuckles has gotten so pervasive I received the most chuckle inducing gift of all for Christmas this year. The first six Knuckles comics....

Set in Georgian London, the show is a beautiful, painful and queer story. It’s a British period drama which puts a Black woman at the helm – while defying the stereotypical former slave figure often painted in period dramas. Frannie (Karla-Simone Spence) is educated, well-read and outspoken, but more importantly, she has the ability to fall in love. When we meet Frannie , she is being dragged from her lover’s bed and arrested for the murder of the Benhams – her master and mistress (Stephen Campbell Moore and Sophie Cookson)....

In the most recent episode of The Expanse Season 5, “Hard Vacuum,” Amos returns to Baltimore, this time with Clarissa “Peaches” Mao in tow, as part of his larger plan to get the heck off of Earth. Once there, he seeks out the assistance of Erich, Amos’ old friend whom we first met in the second episode of the season, “Churn.” Looking out over a decimated Baltimore, Erich says Amos: “I figured this was just the Churn again, but… it’s gone, isn’t it?...

The Expanse Season 2 Episode 7 There’s no denying that this week’s The Expanse was a set-up episode, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Like a massive ship having done its deceleration burn last week, “The Seventh Man” fires up the maneuvering thrusters, getting ready to explore the escalating power plays and teasing us with glimpses of a creature only one person that we know of has seen. The Expanse has always been carefully paced, but with the building tension on Tycho and the return of Sergeant Draper, the edge is far from dull....

The Expanse Season 3 Episode 11 Some of the most remarkable moments in The Expanse happen when the series draws attention to how wrong all the other space dramas are about the physics of interplanetary travel. Although the show’s sense of realism doesn’t extend to the significantly advanced technology of the protomolecule, Newton’s laws of motion are in full effect, and the dramatic results are breathtaking. “Fallen World” succeeds in stepping back to take in the scope of the danger, including the effects of zero g on injuries, before proceeding with the final consequences leading into the finale....

While the words “mafia” and “cosa nostra” are never used in the film, many of the scenarios reflect specific points in the mob’s story. Some of these are strictly from Puzo’s imagination for the novel, like the horse’s head in a Hollywood producer’s bed scene. There is no evidence in gangland history to a corresponding incident like that. However, one of the most pivotal scenes in The Godfather is very similar to the incident which inspired it: The scene where Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) executes Virgil “The Turk” Sollozzo (Al Lettieri) and police captain Mark McCluskey (Sterling Hayden) at Louis’ Italian American Restaurant in the Bronx....
