Though the basic premise of Resident Alien will feel fairly familiar to genre viewers—an extraterrestrial forced to live in disguise as a dead human doctor named Harry Vanderspeigle contemplates whether or not to help his race kill us all—it may come as a surprise to many that the SYFY comedy is probably one of the most original and heartwarming things on-air right now. (Yes, really.) Based on the Dark Horse comic of the same name, the series initially appears to be the story of a dangerous alien who may or may not be plotting the human race’s doom....

I see the game a little differently, though. While it’s easy to look at these kinds of projects that were never released and wonder what could have been, the fascinating thing about the canceled Dark Knight game is that wondering what would have happened if the game had been released is the quickest way to distract yourself from the many ways that the world of gaming was changed by the fact it wasn’t released....

Fans have been taking screenshots of their favorite games for almost as long as they’ve been playing them. Photo modes themselves have existed at least as far back as 1999’s Metal Gear Solid: Integral, which featured a bare bones “photoshoot mode” as bonus content. This particular controversy has been slowly boiling over the last few months as some Game Pass subscribers and industry observers have been criticizing the quality of the subscription service’s recent updates. It’s going to be a difficult road, though. We’re likely to lose Ben Affleck as Batman sooner than later, and with nothing else on the DCEU calendar for him at the moment, we may have seen the last of Henry Cavill’s Superman, too (although we’re holding out hope he does at least one more, and by most accounts he certainly wants to do it). Then there’s the studio itself to consider, which isn’t in the business of losing money, no matter how beloved the IP may be....

This year’s slime-filled, kid-focused event took place on Sunday at AT&T Stadium as the Dallas Cowboys took on the San Francisco 49ers. Things didn’t go the Cowboys way, and despite their best efforts for a late game comeback, they fell to the 49ers, 23-17, but regardless of the score, the broadcast could not have been more exciting and several key moments went viral. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, last year’s game between the Saints and Bears had just 3,000 fans in attendance, but yesterday there were nearly 95,000 screaming Cowboys fans in attendance....
