Netflix always features plenty of international options for viewers across the globe, but March is the first month where it seems as though international releases make up roughly half of Netflix’s originals. And that’s great! China’s The Yin Yang Master and Spain’s Coven of Sisters both look to be intriguing films this month. On the U.S. domestic side of things, however, pickings are bit slimmer. March 3 sees the release of the intensely American-sounding true crime documentary Murder Among the Mormons....

Nine Perfect Strangers is truly a story about how, if you look like Nicole Kidman, you can get people to do anything you want them to do. In the upcoming Hulu series, Kidman is Masha, an enigmatic, ethereal woman who runs Tranquillum, a super secretive wellness retreat set in a swoon-worthy mansion made of glass and earth elements. As the guests arrive and settle in, they realize that they’re in for more than they’d bargained for....

MGM confirmed as much Friday when it announced No Time to Die will have its Swiss premiere at the Zurich Film Festival on Sept. 28, the same day as its UK premiere at the Royal Albert Hall, which is two days ahead of the movie’s slated UK opening on Sept. 30. This also signals the film will not be budging from its U.S. release date of Oct. 8. Bond is back, despite what many in the industry have speculated (and perhaps many more fans have feared)....

Outlander Season 6’s final episode had a tall order in terms of fan expectations, as well as translating book events to the screen. Unfortunately, the question of both who killed Malva, as well as how Claire and Jamie are going to prove their innocence, was left unresolved. Book readers, in particular, will not be happy that the episode failed to answer these questions, because Malva is such an unpopular and controversial character in the book canon....

In case you don’t know, Outriders is a new looter shooter from developer People Can Fly: the same studio responsible for brilliant shooters like Bulletstorm and the Painkiller games. Much like those titles, Outriders features a chaotic style of shooter gameplay that emphasizes quick movements, outlandish weapons, and waves of enemies. Unlike the studio’s most notable previous efforts, Outriders utilizes a “looter” gameplay style similar to what we’ve seen in games like Destiny and Anthem....

Shelby parties are cursed. Whenever the Peaky Blinders get their glad rags on to sip champagne, somebody ends up shot. The Russian at Tommy’s wedding, Grace at the Foundation launch, John last Christmas, and now Linda at the ballet. Somebody in that long list of people queuing up to kill Tommy must have cast a spell: no peace for the Shelby family and no tux unsplattered with blood. Linda was supposed to save Arthur’s soul; instead, the Peaky Blinders infected hers and now she’s their latest casualty....

This episode was a huge gamble for Power Rangers Beast Morphers. As I wrote about last week, invoking a plotline from Power Rangers RPM could have blown up in their faces. The cliffhanger with Venjix in the morpher has gone unresolved for over a decade and fan expecations for it being paid off were sky high. If even one detail was wrong or out of place, the whole episode would have collapsed....

Lost to the sands of time after Cleopatra and Antony’s deaths, and the fall of Egypt to Rome, these eggs were allegedly thought to be myth until the first was discovered in the 20th century… and then the last in the 21st by no less than Deadpool in a safari outfit. It’s an amusing MacGuffin for the film, which has caused many to ask if these lost treasures are real....

Directed by Sam Liu with a script by Jim Krieg, and Tim Sheridan, Reign of the Supermen succeeds in delivering a largely enjoyable superhero adventure that can stand on its own, while honoring the 1993 comic book arc it is based on. It falls short in juggling too many underdeveloped characters, and trying to tell an epic story in less than 90 minutes. But its flaws are balanced with plenty of action-packed scenes, and stellar voice acting....

In case you haven’t heard, Returnal is one of the best games of 2021, one of the PlayStation team’s most original supported projects in years, and one of the best reasons to be angry that you still can’t find a PlayStation 5. Returnal is also the source of one of the most compelling and confusing video game stories in recent memory. Much like Hades, Returnal uses its roguelike gameplay as the basis for a complicated time loop narrative that leads to multiple endings that have so far left many scratching their heads....

Rick and Morty Season 5 Episode 2 Man, Rick and Morty is a weird fucking show. I know I’m stating the obvious here but I mean it’s weird on a fundamental storytelling level because, the thing is, under all the sci-fi madness, there’s meant to be a gooey sitcom center to this series and sitcoms usually want you to care a lot about their characters. You’re supposed to get emotional highs and lows from them and want them to succeed....

Riverdale Season 5 Episode 16 “Being canonized has always been one of my life’s goals.” And so it came to pass that Cheryl Blossom turned water into maple syrup. Goddamn Riverdale is glorious trash. The focal point of this episode was clearly supposed to be Archie getting justice for his fallen comrades, but how can one be expected to pay attention to military intrigue when a line like “for I am Cheryl Blossom, Queen of the Bees” is delivered by Madelaine Petsch without a hint of insincerity?...

Fortunately, like Betty and Jughead, we are on the case. The CW has just released a trailer for Riverdale Season 5 that shows how wild things are about to get. Take a look: The Truth of the Taper Revealed “Someone is doing videos of us doing disturbing, violent things,” declares Betty in this trailer as footage from the psuedo-snuff films play. The truth behind these tapes was the main mystery of the show’s fourth season, and there seems to be plenty of potential suspects....

Riverdale Season 5 Episode 12 “Now at least you can become the man you were destined to be.” Despite the evil travails of everyone from The Black Hood to the Gargoyle King, the most noteworthy of Riverdale‘s rogue’s gallery of Big Bads remains Hiram Lodge. So it isn’t much of a surprise that the series finally got around to giving him an origin episode, nor is it particularly shocking that said origin was a pastiche of The Godfather and Goodfellas....

While few modern video games are entirely free of technical problems, it does seem like more and more major new games are being released in a fundamentally unfinished state. There are various reasons why some of those games seem to suffer from more technical problems (many of which are understandable, if unfortunate), but when you get down to it, most gamers just want to have a better idea of what they’re about to get into before they pay full price for a new game....

How funny it is that decades later, Marvel is introducing She-Hulk to the Marvel Cinematic Universe via a TV show? She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will be coming out this August with nine episodes and, looking at the trailer, it gives us a comedic, albeit down-to-earth look at what society is in the MCU. So who do we have breaking through walls and whatnot in this take on the law in a superhero world?...
