When Robert Pattinson’s Caped Crusader enters a crime scene that wouldn’t be out of place in a David Fincher movie, the Gotham City Police Department neither assess this interloper with the kind of relief we see from civilians’ reactions to The Avengers, nor even the type of awe and hope glimpsed in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. They look at the Batman like a freak—just one who happens to be surprisingly good at solving crimes....

The Flash Season 7 Episode 15 The Flash isn’t really the sort of show that does a lot of what you might call long-lead storytelling, so the fact that the show has been teasing the return of villainous speedster Godspeed for over a year is a fairly unprecedented event. Granted, “Enemy at the Gates” is maybe not the episode that all that build-up deserves, since it tells us precious little about where all the Godspeed clones are coming from or what they want....

As you can tell by the deployment of that name again, with no numbers or subtitles following it, The Grudge wants to be both a reboot and a sequel. It is the first of the entire franchise to take place solely in America, although it does briefly connect in a prologue to the Japanese house in which this whole mythology started. At least I think that’s the case, because the film is so confusing in its overall use of multiple timelines that I doubt even Smart Hulk could sort it out....

When Commander Lawrence and the other Sons of Jacob were designing the Handmaid system, they failed to take a few key things into account. “Part of the equation we overlooked,” Lawrence told June in season three. “Mental health – obviously. The Mandalorian took the internet by storm last year, thanks to the central duo of Pedro Pascal’s titular bounty hunter and the adorable Child, aka Baby Yoda. Even if you aren’t a hardcore Star Wars fan, the story of a heavily armed mercenary suddenly becoming a father figure to protect the mysterious and Force-sensitive Child is very charming....
