Marvel shows on Disney+ have largely delivered great finales so far. Final episodes have given us the first appearance of Sam Wilson as Captain America, He Who Remains warning Loki and Sylvie about the incoming Kang the Conqueror, and the Watcher forced to intervene against an Infinity Stone-powered Ultron. As it heads into its episode six finale, Moon Knight has just as much possibility for an explosive end, thanks in part to the many questions that remain....

Harlan Coben’s 2015 novel The Stranger is a story to give pause to anybody who thinks that an incognito tab or a fake online username will keep their secrets. In a shareholder letter sent almost exactly one year to the release of Never Have I Ever season two, Netflix singled the Mindy Kaling-Lang Fisher teen show out for praise. Not praise as any human being being might put it, but acknowledgement of the half-hour comedy having “notched success” as a “key content vertical” – the words every showrunner wants to hear. Within a month of release, announced Netflix, 40 million households worldwide (roughly equivalent to the population of California, where the series is set) had streamed Never Have I Ever’s first season, which followed Los Angeles teen Devi Vishwakumar navigating high school in the months after the very sudden, very public death of her father....

TV-wise, there’s a new season of animated comedy Big Mouth on December 4th, the debut of slick-looking Shondaland period drama Bridgerton on the 25th, and right at the end of the month, the final episodes of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina....

It’s an anthology show of sort (in the same way Lovercraft Country was), with each ep focusing on a different paranormal phenomenon, with an overarching story relating to Refaat and his family, his fiancee who is also his cousin, and his former love, his Scottish former class mate Maggie Mckillop (Razane Jammal). The two have a kind of Mulder and Skully vibe if Mulder was a balding middle aged sad sack who smokes a lot of fags and Skully was wearing the worst ‘I’m definitely Scottish look at my curly red hair’ wig ever....
In any case, PlayStation finally got to have their big 2021 presentation, and it wasn’t just an incredible show in its own right; it was arguably the show that “won” E3 2021 nearly three months after that show ended. A new report from VGC, which spoke to “retail and development sources,” suggests the long-awaited release date will fall sometime in November. According to these sources, Sony has “booked a significant marketing spend” for the console that will begin on Nov. 13. They expect that the PS5 itself will launch around mid-November period, too. Microsoft is aiming to beat Sony to market with the Xbox Series X, which VGC’s sources say will launch before the PS5....
Rick and Morty Season 6 Episode 9 Continuing the trend from last week, this is another episode about something painfully dumb being used as a vehicle for character development.
