The big stars of Marvel’s Avengers‘ upcoming content release schedule (which you can find below) are the game’s first raid and the long-awaited addition of Spider-Man to the online action game’s roster of playable Marvel heroes. Otherwise, it seems that the biggest things that Marvel’s Avengers fans have to look forward to until 2022 are some recycled events, a power level cap increase, “earnable cosmetics,” and something called the “Hawkeye Nameplate Challenge” that is already inspiring memes by virtue of how sad it sounds....

The move was widely rumored and expected as the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic continues to play havoc with the theatrical exhibition business. There was even speculation that the Mouse House could premiere Black Widow on its Disney+ streaming platform, as it did this month with Mulan. Black Widow’s shift also comes as part of a larger, major shake-up in Disney’s overall release schedule, with the company also moving other Marvel titles like Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Eternals, as well as releases such as Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story remake and Kenneth Branagh’s Death on the Nile....

Agent Mobius did say that time ran differently in the TVA but who could have imagined that the penultimate episode of Loki would arrive so quickly? Marvel’s Loki episode 5 “Journey Into Mystery” keeps up a streak of superb installments for this increasingly superb show. In this hour, Mobius joins the side of the heroes, Judge Renslayer has some questions, and Loki and Sylvie’s relationship continues to blossom thanks to the conjuring of an uncomfortable green blanket....

Marvel’s Loki episode 5 has a really unique Easter egg showcasing a video game that barely even existed, yet whose reputation has grown thanks to the power of urban legend. Visible in the secret hideout of the Variant Lokis, nestled between some old pinball machines and stacks of ephemera, is an arcade cabinet bearing the name: Polybius. It’s not exactly out of place on a show that relishes in jumping around the timestream and into and out of troublesome branch realities....

Julia Delbel of The Direct shared details of the Moon Knight episodes over on Twitter. According to Delbel, the first episode is 45 minutes long, episode 2 is 50 minutes long, episode 3 is also 50 minutes, and episode 4 is 51 minutes. All the running times listed include the end credits sequence, which is apparently 5 minutes long. This would mean the first episode is the shortest of the stack at around 40 minutes in length....

Ms. Marvel Episode 4 Even though there’s a lot going on in Ms. Marvel episode four, “Seeing Red”, we still we don’t learn a whole lot more than we did last week. It’s kinda par for the course with these MCU Disney+ shows, which almost always spin their narrative wheels in favor of some rote action and character development in their fourth episodes. I’m not mad about it. I’m happy to spend more time with Kamala, her mother, and her grandmother for the best part of an hour, before Kamala gets a shot at some real-life driver’s ed in a pretty fun chase sequence....

While Mystery Science Theater 3000 has done a handful of Christmas-themed episodes (one major one per host, at least), the series has a much deeper relationship with Thanksgiving. Turkey Day is essentially its legacy. It started on Thanksgiving and it always comes back to that one Thursday in late November, whether the show is on the air or not. Back in 1988, Joel Hodgson created a new show idea inspired by a random image from the liner notes of an Elton John album, wherein a couple of silhouettes sit in front of a movie screen....

Hellboy, which was not a sequel to the two films made by Guillermo del Toro and starring Ron Perlman, starred David Harbour as the title demon. It was also Marshall’s first feature in nine years–a break during which he directed episodes of Westworld, Hannibal, and particularly Game of Thrones. Yet Hellboy landed with a loud thud both at the box office and with critics. Marshall tells Den of Geek that he took the assignment to direct Hellboy purely as a means to get back into directing features....

Fantasia, which under normal circumstances physically takes place in Montreal in mid-summer, went online in 2020 for an all-digital edition that kicked off on August 20 and concluded on September 2. The event was a mix of films that were either available on demand at any time throughout the fest (up until a maximum ticket capacity was reached) or were designated to stream “live,” as it were, on one or two certain dates at specific times (also with a maximum ticket capacity)....

The streamer is coming out strong with a third season of Cobra Kai, formerly of YouTube Premium. The next installment in Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence’s story is set to arrive…eventually. Netflix has not unveiled a released date yet but it will be during this month. While Cobra Kai is the highlight among Netflix’ original series, it’s not the only one by a long shot. Last year’s fun Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous returns for a second season on Jan....
