But whether wondering about the next steps for Howard, Baldwin, Clare, or anyone else with secrets in a world without an open Crossing, everything points to season one as merely a prologue to a much grander story to come....

Arrow Season 8, Episode 8 The conclusion of Crisis On Infinite Earths hit us with two very different, but equally compelling, hours. The first largely continued the end-times vibe of the Crisis thus far, as the Paragons tried to thwart history and eventually faced the Anti-Monitor at the dawn of time, while the second brought us back to a unified earth with some major edits, and the playful tone that makes Legends of Tomorrow such a continual delight....

As Kevin Feige makes plans to bring the X-Men into the MCU, fans have been casting their choices for the various mutants, none more vigorously than Wolverine. Some of the names thrown around include both Antony Starr and Karl Urban of The Boys and Taron Egerton of Kingsman: The Secret Service. But standing at 5’5″, Radcliffe perhaps has the best claim to playing the famously short Logan. In fact, Radcliffe began saying as much to the press, telling Marvel to cast him because he’s short....

Rey feels she’s failing Finn as his teacher in the ways of the Jedi, so she seeks out an ancient technique at an old temple—which sends her through Star Wars history, witnessing moments in the training of Anakin, Luke, and Obi-Wan. When Darth Vader follows her from the second Death Star, chaos ensues, and a chase through the various Star Wars properties—including The Mandalorian—brings her back into conflict with Kylo Ren, once again with Luke Skywalker at her side....

Disney+’s list of new releases for February 2021 features a handful of intriguing original movies and TV shows. But it’s a blast from the past that’s making the most waves. All five seasons of The Muppet Show will arrive on Disney+’s stream on Friday, Feb. 19. And just like that, 2021 is a brighter place. February 2021 also sees the back half of WandaVision carry on. Disney+ only mentions each release as being a “new episode” but if our calculations are right, February should feature episodes 5 through 8 of the series....

That’s right, Disney+’s list of new releases for January 2022 is highlighted by The Book of Boba Fett. Though the series starring everyone’s favorite bounty hunter in Mandalorian armor (or maybe second favorite now after Din Djarin) first premiered in 2021, January 2022 is when it will air the majority of its seven episodes. The Doctor Who Festive Specials have been part of the BBC’s Christmas and New Year’s Day line-up since 2005 – times when there’s something of a captive audience who might not normally watch the show. Unlike the 1965 Christmas Day episode, the hope is that they’ll attract a broader audience. Some episodes are more forgiving for casual viewers than others. Some episodes will garner the ultimate praise from your father-in-law: complete silence for the duration followed by ‘That was rather good’....

Does the New Doctor Need an Unchanging Costume? First question: do we really need a capital C Costume? And if we do, is it going to be near-permanent? There’s a difference between something obviously designed and never changed out of, and a consistent look. Compare the Eighties Doctors, who wore largely the same clothes in every story (as did a fair few of their companions, spending whole series in the same clothes) and whose costume was clearly designed to be The Doctor’s Costume....

This list is very much subjective, some of it is down to which Doctor Who videos I could afford when I was 10. These stories work for me and it’s unlikely they will work completely for someone else. Also worth mentioning is that this list is incomplete; these are not the only stories I watch for comfort, and indeed sometimes that’s not the reason I watch these stories. 12.7 Can You Hear Me? Well, that was an odd one. The ‘next time’ teaser for Can You Hear Me?, which is one of those episodes that confounds reviewers by forcing them to insert random punctuation into the middle of sentences, didn’t give much away beyond a vague sense of creeping, monsters-under-the-bed-style terror – the sort of episode Mark Gatiss might have penned a decade ago. Even the official trailer seemed more interested in reminding us that there’s a (quote) ‘explosive finale’ in a couple of weeks than getting us excited for the adventure we were actually getting served up next....

Olivia Wilde’s sophomore effort as director, after her confident and joyful debut Booksmart, veers into mystery terrority. If you think you can guess where the story is going, well… you probably can but that doesn’t stop you from enjoying the ride. Florence Pugh is gorgeous and captivating as Alice, young wife to Harry Styles’ Jack. The two are wildly in love and spend what time Jack isn’t at work making out and partying with the neighbors Bunny (played by Wilde) and Dean (Nick Kroll)....

Doom Patrol Season 2 Episode 9 “Let the past die. Kill it if you have to. It’s the only way to become who you were meant to be.” Kylo Ren’s quote in The Last Jedi could just as easily apply to the Doom Patrol season 2 finale, “Wax Patrol,” as the team not only confronts toxic imaginary friends from their childhoods, but Jane uncovers Miranda’s own buried past – and Dorothy is forced to leave her life behind as Niles’ innocent little girl....

Fargo Season 4 Episode 11 Despite a sprawling cast, greater narrative ambition, and a big, broad American Dream theme, Fargo Season 4 never quite lived up to its potential. Loy Cannon’s war against the Italian Fadda crime family was meant to highlight how the criminal underworld is just as racist and exploitative as the 1950s classrooms that biracial teenager Ethelrida Smutny inhabits. They both strive for assimilation, which feels like the real American dream, but their efforts are ultimately pointless....

Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 13 I don’t know about any of you, but I avoid all spoilers so I can go into every episode of Fear the Walking Dead (or any show, for that matter) with a fresh and open mind.
