Nature or nurture appears to be the theme moving forward, as the What We Do in the Shadows’ season 3 finale dropped a bundle on viewers. The vampire housemates are left scattered on ship ports and train platforms, and may be rudderless as an unexpected arrival throws all their plans to the wind. The ending leaves Nandor (Kayvan Novak) relentlessly waiting for Guillermo (Harvey Guillén), who has been nailed into a coffin by Laszlo (Matt Berry) to ensure a safe passage for his love Nadja (Natasia Demetriou)....

Titans Season 2 Episode 4 This week Titans flashes back five years to a happier time when our heroes smiled a lot more — right before they were introduced to Deathstroke – in an episode that feels hollow, despite that brutal ending. Something that works well for Titans is that it’s created the sense of a shared history between Dick, Hank, Dawn, and Donna. Despite their young age, they each have seen combat, and carry the scars....

Check it out… Titans is apparently skipping one part of Jason Todd’s road from being Robin to becoming the Red Hood: his death at the hands of the Joker. While Jason (portrayed by Curran Walters) is every bit the problem child he is in the comics, and at least one horrible fate for him has been teased on the show, it doesn’t appear that a death and subsequent resurrection will be necessary for him to take on his new identity....

Yet as good as the doc is, its impressionistic view of the actor’s life tends to leave some of his sardonic musings and general conviviality off the screen. Relying mostly on the vast reams of camcorder footage he saved over the course of his life, the movie observes as much as it enters Kilmer’s mind. Luckily, the prodigious artist also recently released a memoir about his various exploits, Val Kilmer: I’m Your Huckleberry....

I wonder if the Voltron creative staff had that famous line from Rocky IV on their minds while creating these episodes ’cause boy, my emotions are SHATTERED. This season is not for the faint of heart. It will take you on a roller coaster ride of feels that will leave you breathless, delighted, heart broken, and will annihilate every feeling in your body. No character escapes this season without a moment that will leave you clutching your heart for fear it might slip out of your body....

If there’s one thing that Westworld loves, it’s a nonlinear timeline. If there are two things Westworld loves, it’s a nonlinear timeline and pretending that it’s really not going to do the nonlinear timeline thing this time around. Through three episodes, the fourth season of HBO’s sci-fi epic really did seem like it was playing things straight. Series producer Lisa Joy was uncommonly straightforward in pre-season interviews, saying that this batch of episodes would take place seven years after the events of season 3....

Much like Marco Inaros, The Expanse Season 5 finale writers used a bit of misdirect to distract from the fact that, while (most of) the crew of the Rocinante were finally reunited and Acting Secretary General Chrisjen Avasarala was gathering her team in preparation for war, the culmination of Marco’s deal with a rogue Martian fleet was coming to a head. In the final moments of “Nemesis Games,” the shape of the alliance between Inaros and the rogue Martian fleet (including the Barkeith) comes into focus, and it is not good news for Chrisjen & Co....

When Burnham runs into Book’s ship in the first episode of Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 — “That Hope Is You, Part 1” — she’s set-up to spend the rest of the first episode asking a lot of questions. This is science fiction worldbuilding 101: Make your protagonist a fish-out-of-water, that way, the audience can learn about the kooky rules of this new sci-fi world right alongside your hero. In Seasons 1 and 2 of Discovery, Burnham quoted from one of Spock’s favorite books, Alice In Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass....

What We Do in the Shadows Season 4 Episode 9 While not quite achingly funny, What We Do in the Shadows’ season 4 episode 9, is about growing pains. “Freddie” is a sad, and somewhat cruel installment in the Staten Island vampire saga. We finally learn who Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) has been covertly sharing stolen moments of cell phone intimacy with, but it brings double the trouble. While a certain freakish draw to Nadja’s (Natasia Demetriou) vampire club Nadja’s wants an increase in pay but grows in size instead....

For obvious reasons, escape is on our minds this year more than most. So we started thinking, if you had your wishing socks on, where in the collected imaginations of everyone who’s ever dreamt up a film, TV show, game or book, would you spend the holidays? On the holodeck of the Starship Enterprise or roasting on an open fire with The Simpsons, exchanging gifts with Ewoks or witnessing Scrooge McDuck’s transformation from miser to philanthropist first hand?...

But perhaps the most important legacy question surrounds Black Panther. Director Ryan Coogler and MCU boss Kevin Feige were well into planning for the sequel to the blockbuster 2018 movie Black Panther when its main star Chadwick Boseman died. For a moment, some thought Feige and Coogler would recast the part. After all, both the aforementioned Rhodes had been recast, first portrayed by Terrence Howard and then Don Cheadle, and Mark Ruffalo is the third actor to play Bruce Banner, taking over for Eric Bana (from the non-MCU Hulk) and Edward Norton from The Incredible Hulk....

What is The Convergence? Well, for the moment, it’s the name of a popular Dark Souls 3 mod that launched in 2020. The earliest versions of the mod improved Dark Souls 3‘s magic system, changed the game’s layout a bit, and altered a few of the game’s boss fights. While The Convergence mod was impressive even in those early days, the mod has since grown into something else entirely. In its current form, The Convergence honestly feels closer to Dark Souls 4 than a Dark Souls 3 mod....

Over 82 million copies of the motion-controlled sports game have reportedly been sold worldwide to date, around half of which were sold in North America.
