So when it was announced that Halloween 2018 would form part of a trilogy with Halloween Kills coming in 2020 and Halloween Ends to follow in 2021 we were basically ok with that. More than ok – it came as exciting news....
The trailer begins with Master Chief floating through space, making his way through the wreckage of a ship while talking to the Pilot, his human companion, through a comlink. Master Chief eventually encounters the mysterious AI, whose voice sounds suspiciously like Jen Taylor’s Cortana. When asks her where he can find Cortana, the AI responds that “the rogue AI known as Cortana is gone. She’s been deleted.” The only problem is that neither Chief nor the new AI know how exactly Cortana was deleted....
At launch, Halo Infinite only allowed you to acquire XP (which is used to unlock tiers and items on the Battle Pass via gameplay) through daily and weekly challenges. Because Infinite did not allow you to acquire Battle Pass XP by simply playing matches (as is the case in many other games with a Battle Pass), unlocking new tiers and items proved to be a painfully slow process. While the team admits that this isn’t the final version of the game’s Battle Pass (and that more improvements are on the way), these changes certainly make Infinite‘s Battle Pass much more “user friendly” than it was before....

As you wander the post-apocalyptic world of Horizon Forbidden West, you’ll find a total of ten drones surveying the land. Each drone is easily identified by a beam of light and a signature “ping” sound, and while their only loot, a series of modules, initially appear to simply alter the look of GAIA’s room in The Base, they are also tied to a special collection quest. While most robots in Forbidden West only drop resources after they’ve been peppered with arrows and other caveman-level weaponry, you sadly can’t shoot survey drones....

Previously known as “The Avatar Project,” this new game promises to offer a first-person open-world action-adventure set in the universe of James Cameron’s Avatar movie (and its still surprising number of currently planned sequels). In this case, that young person is Carson (Lara Vosburgh) a once-bright teenager who inexplicably begins using hard drugs after her parents Steve (Christopher Parker) and Beth (Colleen McGrann) enroll here in a high-end Catholic high school. Her behavior becomes so self-destructive that she eventually ends up in a rehab clinic. More disruptive behavior follows, along with standard possession tropes like vomiting, speaking in tongues, etc., past the point where it becomes ludicrous for anyone observing Carson to deny that there’s more going on with her than an especially tough detox....

There you have it: the perfect Inside No. 9 specimen. Macabre, comedic, cleverly plotted, with a little bit of pathos and a gruesome end that – unlike ‘The Devil of Christmas’ – punishes the right person. If this show were taught in schools, ‘The Bones of St Nicholas’ would be the exemplar used to illustrate the classic ingredients of Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton’s show. The setting, the characters, the gags, the reveal, a gross bit about pickling murdered children in brine… this half-hour has it all....
To keep things as simple as possible, God of War Ragnarok is not an open-world game in any traditional way. That is to say that it’s not an open-world game in the spirit of sandbox series like GTA, Far Cry, or the Horizon series. The game doesn’t drop you into a massive map and ask you to complete various objectives in whatever order and manner you see fit (or simply find your own fun)....
