Supergirl Season 6 Episode 12 Kelly makes her debut as Guardian in an impressive episode that actor Azie Tesfai (Kelly Olsen) co-wrote and David Ramsey directed. Ramsey previously directed a few great episodes of Arrow. Here, his direction gives the proceedings a feeling of gravitas – everything feels a bit more special, the shots more cinematic and creative. For Tesfai’s part, adding “writer” to her credits makes her the first Arrowverse actor to do so and adds a level of lived experience that grounds the episode in very real issues of race and privilege, even as Tesfai deftly weaves those themes into the fantastical aspects of the show....

Supernatural Series Finale Release Date The Supernatural series finale will air on Thursday, November 19th, but at the slightly later time of 9pm ET. The regular Supernatural time slot will be filled by a Supernatural special called Supernatural: The Long Road Home. The James Wan produced horror series has received solid reviews, and the announcement of its cancelation, before the season has even completed its first season run is only going to increase speculation about the long term health of the DC Universe streaming service. The abrupt cancelation of Swamp Thing, the fact that a second season of the critically acclaimed Doom Patrol has yet to be announced, and the fact that neither the service itself nor any of their shows got so much as a mention at the Warner Media Upfront presentation in New York City in May would seem to be cause for concern....

Directed by Brian Andrew Mendoza, Momoa’s longtime producing partner who makes his directorial debut here, Sweet Girl fits the exact brief of the kind of run-of-the-mill thriller, written and shot according to a specific formula and anchored by one big star, which the streaming giant has made into a vast cottage industry. A perfunctory layer of social consciousness is applied over the top, but it’s done in such a heavy-handed manner that the film just becomes exhausting to watch....

That included the ones in suits at Hollywood studios. Even after the assassinations of Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and Fred Hampton, the only African Americans people saw on the big screen were subservient to whites, or played by Sidney Poitier....

Ted Lasso’s Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) and Keeley Jones (Juno Temple) are a special kind of TV couple. Like other character pairings on Bill Lawrence-produced shows before them (Turk and Carla on Scrubs, Jules and Grayson on Cougar Town), Roy and Keeley reject the “will they or won’t they” sitcom binary. Instead these are two adults who share an intense emotional and physical connection and who are bound and determined to make an adult relationship work....
